Game 1 - Kzone 8 vs. Triple Play Allstars 7

DEFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS:
The Star's were off and running and Catcher T Benoit was up for the task ..... Benoit picked off two runners attempting
to steal 2B when he fired lasers to Shortstop Murphy. Also,
with a runner on first base the Star's attempted a delayed steal /
attempted pickle play to draw a throw from Catcher Benoit, Benoit ignored
the delayed steal and set the trap for the Star's runner at 3B by
throwing the ball to Murphy .......as Benoit released the
ball, the Star's runner took off for home, but with Murphy charging in from
his Shortstop position and firing a strike on the inside corner of the
Plate, Benoit was holding the ball and waiting for the runner to attempt to
reach home....the runner was tagged out before he got to the plate.

DEFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS:
With the game beginning to tighten in the bottom of
the 7th inning, the Shortstop. A Pappas was playing back.....with Star's
on First and Second base, the Star's batter cracked a line shot up the
middle but the fleet footed Pappas was able to take a great angle on the
ball and beat the surprised Star's player attempting to dive back to Second
base to avoid the Double Play ....but to no avail.....Pappas prevailed and
the game was over !
