(1) Pitcher G. Pappas caught the runner leading and fired a laser to shortstop Teplansky who tagged the runner out as he was diving back to second base.
(2) Catcher Stratton seeing the runner casually going back to second after the pitch rifled the ball to shortstop Teplansky and the run-down play was on. Teplansky fired to 3rd baseman Teevans who ran the baserunner back toward second. Teevens fired the ball back to 2nd baseman Jancura who applied the tag for the out as the runner tried to dive back into second base. Nice run down play.
